Kyambura Gorge Lodge is the perfect place to stay before/after tracking the lost chimpanzees within the lush sunken forest in this 100-meter-deep Gorge as well as spotting some of the rarest wildlife species during game drives or boat cruises.

Rooms and amenities at Kyambura Gorge Lodge

Kyambura Gorge Lodge has 8 exceptional hand-built Guest Bandas- 4 Standard and 4 Deluxe Bandas featuring a private balcony that offers breathtaking views of Queen Elizabeth National Park or Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

The Bandas have en-suite bathrooms with a shower with hot/cold running water, a flushing toilet, a bathrobe, and a double vanity, as well as a spacious seating area with a chair and table.

There is a swimming pool at this Lodge which provides breathtaking views over the sweeping Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains on the horizon.

Personal butler service is provided to Kyambura Gorge guests, hence all needs and aspirations of all visitors are well attended to.

Every Kyambura Gorge guest is entitled to a 50-minute complimentary massage per stay, and this is provided at any of the two tranquil massage rooms.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided at the main Lodge area and the Guest Bandas.

Complimentary laundry services are also provided for guests, although this is dependent on weather.

Lodge and safari activities to enjoy while staying at the Lodge

Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge is the main activity enjoyed by Lodge guests and this takes visitors to the lost chimpanzees within the lush sunken forest. Additionally, it is also possible to trek these endangered Great Apes from Kalinzu Forest, about 20 minutes’ drive from the Lodge.

Guests can also undertake game drives through Queen Elizabeth National Park, with the hope of sighting Uganda Kobs, Cape buffaloes, lions, elephants, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, Mongoose, Hippos, Leopards, and many others.

It is also possible to climb the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains while staying at Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

The boat cruise in Kazinga Channel, a natural channel connecting Lakes George and Edward is possible while staying at the Lodge. For Lodge activities, guests can’t afford to miss the visit to Kyambura Coffee Cooperative, tree planting in the buffer zone and even community birding tours in the Kyambura Wetland.
