Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is one of Wild Places’ Safari Lodges and is found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This small and secluded accommodation facility is hidden right above the clouds in southwestern Uganda, offering a peaceful and breathtaking setting that has won lots of local, regional, and International awards.
While staying at Clouds, guests are rewarded with stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes, as well as warm, friendly, and personal customer service. This makes it the ideal place for travelers yearning to experience exceptional and pampered services.
This spectacular safari lodge is found in the Nkuringo sector, bordering the southwestern corner of the Protected Area (Bwindi). At 2,100 meters above sea level the Lodge provides views of the Great Rift Valley and the wide Virunga Volcanoes.
Rooms and amenities at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
The Lodge has spacious cottages built of local Volcanic Stone, and each has a spacious living area with a double-sided wood-burning fireplace, large armchairs, hand-woven carpets, en-suite bathrooms, and a private Verandah. There are 2 Stone Family Cottages with two bedrooms (King and/or Twin beds) and 6 one-bedroomed Stone Cottages with King or Twin beds hence capable of hosting up to 20 guests each night.
Other Facilities/services offered
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge has a big main Lodge Chalet with a dining and bar area and five fireplaces. Personal Butler Service is offered on request. This Lodge’s massage cottage is where different treatments are done after a hectic day of tracking mountain gorillas/or enjoying the Gorilla Habituation Experience, mountain biking, or forest walks.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the main Lodge area.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge hosts 9 of the country’s top artists who display their incredible and unique works. Additionally, community and indulgent service is embraced in perfect combination.
Talking of gorilla tracking, there are currently two habituated gorilla families in the Nkuringo sector hence a total of 16 permits are available each day. However, guests also have a chance to track the gorilla families in the Rushaga sector, which is only about one hour’s drive away.
Sundowners with great views of the forest can be arranged for guests on request.
