Lake Mburo national park is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda but with various attractions and activities to enjoy on the 1 day Uganda tour. It is located in the western part of the country, about 240km from Kampala city.

Among the water bodies in the park is Lake Mburo, hence its name (lake Mburo National Park). It harbors buffaloes, zebras, hippos, giraffes, elands, oribis, crocodiles and various bird species, which you will spot on your Lake Mburo 1-day safari.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park Game drive and boat cruise 

Depending on your location, meet your Uganda safari driver as early as 6 am and transfer to Lake Mburo National park. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks. It’s a 4-5 hour drive to the park. Upon arrival, connect for a morning game drive for animals like the buffaloes, giraffes, Zebras, Impalas and other residents found in the park.

Connect for lunch in one of the lodges at the park, and go on a boat trip on Lake Mburo for different animals like hippos and land animals and different birds. After the boat cruise, drive out of the park to return to Kampala. Drop off to a location you will advise.
