This 12 Days Serengeti Migration Photography Tour – Tanzania photography tour offers an immersive experience of the Serengeti wildebeest migration in the northern Serengeti National Park. Detailed 12 Days Serengeti Migration Photography Tour

Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet our driver at the arrivals section. After a short meet and greet, drive to the hotel in Arusha. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Arusha Serena Resort and Spa.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Photography for Elephant Herds and Baobabs

Tarangire National Park is a beautiful little park that introduces you to the Tanzanian wilderness. With large herds of elephants, Tarangire River and giant baobab trees, take time to capture some of these sightings with a day safari in Tarangire National Park. Look out also for other animals including lions, leopards, buffalos and more, including birds as well. Drive to your camp, check in and relax. Dinner and an overnight stay at Korong Tarangire Bush Camp.

Day 3: Central Serengeti Plains and Kopjes

To break your long drive to northern Serengeti, a buffer stop in the central Serengeti area gives you a chance to capture the open plains of the park, as well as diverse animal sightings in the Seronera River area as the animals gather for a drink. It also gives you an opportunity to witness and capture the predator action. Drive to your lodge, check in and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 4-7: Northern Serengeti Mara River Crossing

Spend these 4 full days traversing the Mara River area at different times of the day as per your preference with the exception of nights. Witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, chance to catch the iconic Mara River crossing, which is left to chance. Lunch is enjoyed over a picnic or at the camp as per your preference. Photography here targets the dramatic Mara River crossings, which these 4 days should allow you an encounter. Dinner and an overnight stay at Mara Bush Camp (Migration Camp)

Day 8: Northern Serengeti Mara River Area, Transfer to Central Serengeti

You have another chance at witnessing the iconic Mara River crossing and taking photography today as well. Enjoy lunch, and thereafter drive towards the central Serengeti, all the while looking out for wild game, and making stops as often as you may need to capture that which has caught your attention. Check in at the lodge, relax and have a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Central Serengeti Plains and Kopjes

Take up photography sessions in the central Serengeti National Park plains dotted with kopjes and acacia trees, big cats and so much more. You can opt for early mornings, afternoons or late afternoons, or spend the whole day out on photography game drives with lunch enjoyed over a picnic. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge as above.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater Rim Walking Safari and Maasai Bomas

Leave the Serengeti after breakfast at the lodge. Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoy a crater rim walk and Maasai Bomas, allowing you to enjoy wild game viewing up close and a cultural encounter, as well as take amazing photography of the activities at hand. Drive to your lodge, check in and relax. Dinner and an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast is enjoyed at the lodge. With a packed lunch descend the Ngorongoro Crater where there is high density of wild game rewarding you with dramatic wildlife photography opportunities in the Crater floor. Lunch is enjoyed over a picnic. Let your driver guide know when ready to head back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 12: Departure

Have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge and proceed to drive back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home to Zanzibar or hotel in Arusha. This brings your 12 Days Serengeti Migration Photography Tour to an end.
