Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Start the day early morning by pick up by our safari driver guide. Then drives you to Nyungwe National Park as you enjoy the beautiful countryside and landscape. As you drive to the park, you will have a stop at the Ethnographic Museum in Huye if you’re interested. Through visiting this museum, you will have a comprehensive history of Rwanda. Arrive, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Colobus Monkey Trekking

Wake up early in the morning have a hearty breakfast and then your driver will pick you up and drives you at the park headquarters for the briefing. After briefing, you will meet up with the park ranger to guide you through forest trails in search of these great apes. ’’There are two main trails that is Uwinka trail and Cyamudongo trails. On finding them, you will be provided an hour to spend with the chimps as you learn about their amazing behavior, habit, play as well as enjoy taking memorable photography.

Later, return to the lodge for hot lunch and rest abit as you get ready for your next activity.

In the late afternoon, go back to the forest for colobus monkey trekking lead by community guide who knows the most exciting trekking trail. Once, you find them – you will be given an hour to spend with them. After an exciting experience, hike back at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
