Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Ngorongoro and Serengeti Luxury Safari

Day 1: Airport pick-up and Transfer to Arusha

To mark the start of your 7 Days Ngorongoro and Serengeti Safari, you will meet our company representative—your driver-guide—and drive you to your hotel in Arusha City.

Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a leisurely breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu villages. Upon arrival at the lodges, you will check in and enjoy your lunch as you prepare to take part in some of the optional activities available, such as horse riding and a guided walk along the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Enjoy a delicious breakfast served at your lodge early in the morning and with your picnic lunch boxes, you will descend down the steep walls of the Ngorongoro Caldera for game drives along the Ngorongoro Crater Floor.

Ngorongoro Crater is a large volcanic caldera in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, spanning vast expanses of highland plains, savannah, savannah woodlands, and forests. Also, it is an area of global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals.

During the full-day game drive, you will be treated to amazing sightings of several wildlife species, including lions, elephants, buffaloes rhinos, spotted hyenas, impalas and wildebeests, among other wildlife species.

At sunset, descend back to your lodge in the late afternoon and spend the evening at rest, reminiscing about the day’s adventures; have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly to Serengeti National Park

Wake up early for breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to the Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Serengeti. Upon landing at the airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver guide and driven to your lodge for check-in and lunch.

In the afternoon, go for a game drive exploring the endless savannah plains of Serengeti and spotting as many animals and birds as possible with the help of your expert guide. Return to your lodge in the late evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

7 Days Ngorongoro and Serengeti Safari — Flying to Serengeti National Park

Day 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park

You will spend these two days exploring the endless plains of Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti National Park, also known as the Serengeti, derives its name from the name “Siringet,” meaning “the endless plains” in the Maa language. This incredible African safari destination is famous for hosting a wide range of wildlife species, including the Big Five and the Great Wildebeest Migration.

During your full-day game drives, you will see several animals, including hyenas, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, cheetahs, caracals, serval cats, elephants and several bird species, including vultures, eagles, and marabou storks.

During the sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure

Today is the last day on safari in Tanzania. After breakfast, check out and enjoy en-route game viewing as you are transferred to Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha.

Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you will be driven to a hotel for lunch, followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for the departure flight, bringing your Tanzania wildlife safari to an end.
