Detailed itinerary for 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari:
Day 1: Arrive and transfer to your hotel in Kampala.
Your Uganda wildlife safari begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, or take a guided walk through Kampala City, visiting the Kabaka’s Palace, the National Museum, and other iconic sites if you arrive early.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, you’ll be met by your guide and taken to Murchison Falls National Park. This impressive Uganda safari destination features the roaring rapids of Murchison Falls, the world’s most powerful waterfall, as well as vast plains where you can see lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffaloes, and elephants.
Murchison Falls National Park is renowned for its hippo and Nile crocodile populations. It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 450 bird species, including the rare shoebill. En route, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and have lunch in Masindi before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise along the Victoria Nile.
After breakfast, you’ll head to the park for an early morning game drive where you can see lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalo, and elephants. Birders may see secretary birds and black-chested snake eagles.
After lunch, take a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and various water birds. Optional walk to the top of the falls. Enjoy the evening at your lodge and stay overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to Kibale Forest National Park, stopping in Fort Portal for stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy a guided nature walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to see colourful birds, butterflies, and primates. Head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk.
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide, and head to the park headquarters for a chimp trekking briefing. Kibale National Park, known as the Primate Capital of the World, is the best chimpanzee trekking destination in the world, with approximately 5,000 chimps and 12 other primate species such as red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and others.
After being briefed on proper chimpanzee behaviour, you will venture into the forests in search of chimps, accompanied by armed rangers and a guide. Once you’ve located these playful chimps, you’ll spend an hour watching them groom, play, and jump from one tree branch to another. After the tracking, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch, followed by a guided walk through the Bigodi Swamps.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second largest and most popular park. This beautiful park, located near the Rwenzori Mountains and the beautiful lakes of Lake Edward and George, is home to four of the Big Five: lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and elephant. On an afternoon game drive, you will also see hippos, warthogs, and a variety of colourful birds.
In the evening, you will check into your lodge, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 7: Morning game drive and boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and an early game drive to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and other wildlife in the Kasenyi plains, which serve as antelope breeding grounds, attracting predators.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, a brief rest, and lunch. Later in the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Albert. Expect to see hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of waterbirds such as herons and crested cranes.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Sector.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector, where you will see rare tree climbing lions lounging on fig tree branches. Enjoy an en-route lunch and continue to Bwindi, arriving in the evening to check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide, and proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing led by a senior ranger guide who will go over the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest, as well as the presence of mountain gorillas.
In groups of eight people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. The trek takes about 2 to 6 hours or more, depending on the gorillas’ movements and where they spent the night before. You will be able to spend one hour in their presence, watching them play, feed, and groom under the gaze of a silverback.

Trek back to your lodge for a brief rest before checking out and transferring to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, known for its 29 islands and terraced hills. Check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Day 10: Departure.
After breakfast, take a boat cruise on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, stopping to visit the lake’s many islands.
