Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer Murchison Falls National Park Enroute Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by your professional driver-guide. You will travel north through the Luweero Triangle, passing rural villages and farmlands that offer a glimpse into everyday life in Uganda.

A stop is made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Walking through the bush with a ranger brings you close to these magnificent animals in their natural environment.

After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will visit the Top of the Falls where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging down with incredible power, creating one of the most dramatic natural spectacles in Africa.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Early breakfast and today’s activities range from morning game drive to boat cruise with experienced park guide. First, have an exciting morning game drive via the Northern Banks of Murchison Fall N/P, see Kobs, Waterbucks, Hartebeests, Buffaloes, giraffes and birds.
A morning game drive today will last 2-3 hours and later, have lunch and afternoon boat cruise to see Crocodiles, Hippos and birds especially the cormorants and the bee eaters

 Day 3: Transfer to kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart Murchison National Park for Kibale forest National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through Uganda’s rolling hills and rural countryside. You’ll stop for photo shoots at picturesque spots, including lush tea plantations and panoramic viewpoints along the way. You’ll enjoy lunch en route before continuing through Fort Portal’s charming landscapes. You’ll arrive at your lodge near Kibale in the evening, relax, and have dinner.

Day 4: Chimp Tracking Kibale Forest National Park and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast at 7:00 am, we will drive to the trekking center for a briefing by park rangers. Kibale is the prime destination for chimpanzee tracking, often referred to as the “Primate Capital of the World.” During the trek, you will have the opportunity to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The experience is both thrilling and educational, as guides provide insights into the behavior and ecology of these fascinating primates. Trekking typically lasts 2-4 hours, including the time spent with the chimpanzees. Lunch will be at the lodge and after check out to transfer to queen Elizabeth national park for evening game drive along kasenyi plains

Day 5:  Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through ishasha Sector

Meet your driver guide after breakfast, drive to Bwindi, and navigate via Ishasha Area of Queen Elizabeth. Have an optional mini-game drive in Ishasha sector with possible sightings of tree climbing lions; then later have lunch at Savanna Resort or Topi lodge before checking into the lodge for overnight stay in Bwindi National Park.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa community Experience                 

After an early morning heavy breakfast with your packed lunch, you’ll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters in the Rushaga sector for a briefing by a ranger guide on what to and what not to do during the gorilla trekking experience. After the briefing, you will hike into the forest looking for the location of these amazing apes, this may take a few hours or even a full day depending on the location of the apes.
When you find gorillas, you are required to spend one hour with them while taking pictures. It is a worthwhile adventure to stand a few meters as you watch these primates within their natural habitat.
After the activity, you’ll  return to the lodge for relaxation or participate in batwa community  experience to learn more about their culture

Day 7: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park and Evening game drive

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes you through scenic countryside with rolling hills, farms and traditional homesteads.

Arrive at the park in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive or a guided walking safari, which offers a unique opportunity to explore the park on foot. Lake Mburo is known for its populations of zebras, impalas, elands and giraffes.

Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge in or near the park.

 

Day 8: Morning walking safari and Transfer Back to Entebbe

On your final day, you may take a short morning walk or game drive to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spot wildlife one last time.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator crossing for photos and a chance to purchase souvenirs.

You will arrive in the afternoon or evening, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda safari.
