Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and Transfer to the Hotel

Depending on your arrival time at the Kigali International Airport, our professional English safari driver –guide who will pick you from the airport then drive you for the Kigali city tour where you get a remarkable chance to visit different sites of the city like Kigali Genocide Memorial, local market in Kigali named Kimironko among other interesting sites for travelers. Then after, you will enjoy hot lunch in the best restaurant in the city. After having lunch, you will drive to your booked hotel and check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Wake up early morning and enjoy yummy breakfast. After that, your driver guide will pick you and then transfer you to the Eastern province of Rwanda to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, you will register from park reception and then proceed with check in at your booked lodge and have hot lunch. After lunch, you will go for the afternoon game drive to search for animals in the southern part of the park like zebras, antelopes, buffaloes and bird life. Later, you will be driven to the biggest lake in the park called Ihema to enjoy sunset – boat cruise, where you will get a chance to watch number of hippos, crocodiles and various water bird species. Afterwards, you will connect to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive at Akagera National Park

Have relaxed breakfast served from the lodge and then proceed to the park for a full day game drive where you will have chances to watch various wild animals like giraffes, elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes of different types, zebras, birds among others.  During afternoon, have break to enjoy your packed lunch. After, you will go for another game drive adventure. In the evening, connect to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Wake up in lazy morning and then be served with delicious breakfast, followed by check out. You will be picked up by your driver- guide to transfer you to the northwest province of Rwanda, passing through Kigali to access Volcanoes National Park with lunch en- route. Arrive at the park and connect to your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up and enjoy your early morning breakfast. Then, you will carry your packed lunch from the lodge and your driver – guide will come to pick you up to drive you to the meeting point for the gorilla trekking briefing about do’s and don’ts. After briefing, you will meet up with the park ranger guide to lead you through trekking trails in search for the gorilla family assigned too. On finding them, you will be allowed an hour to spend with gorillas as you learn about their behave, habits, play, feed and build their nest on ground as well as enjoying capturing videos for your future purpose. After that great encounter with gentle giant, walk back to starting point to receive your gorilla certificate. Then, drive back to the lodge to relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking – Volcanoes National Park

Wake up enjoy relaxed breakfast and then, you will be picked by your driver guide to connect you to the park headquarter for a short briefing. After, meet up with the park ranger guide to accompanies you through forest trail head to lookout for these active primates. On finding them, you will start following them, as they jump from one tree to another as well as taking photography. After, you will hike back to the driver guide and drives you back to your lodge for lunch and spend the entire evening on leisure. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure to Kigali

You will wake up in the morning and enjoy your delicious breakfast served with some snacks. Then after, you will check out. Then, you will be departed back to the capital of Rwanda, depending on your flight time, you will be dropped at your hotel in Kigali or at airport for your onward flight. End of the safari.
