4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda highlights include:-

Batwa Cultural Village

The Batwa Cultural Village is where the Batwa (Pigmies) still live in the same way they used to years ago in tree houses. The Batwa only began leaving their forest homes around 15 years ago and they have been able to remain on this land thanks to the support of a generous American benefactor who donated the land back to them and created a cultural program. The fees from visiting tourists are given to the Batwa project and they delight in welcoming visitors to their village and demonstrating how they make weapons, dance, make fires using sticks, and cook.

Two Times Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for your gorilla trekking safari. Before 8:00 a.m., report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers. The guides will then take you through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, to track the gorillas. (Please note this trek can take from 30 minutes to 5-6 hours).

A reasonable degree of fitness is required, as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them ‘talk’ to one another, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male, the Silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It’s amazing to think there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left.

Selected Lodges to Stay at during 4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda:-

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

Remote, beautiful, and intimate, Clouds is a breathtaking lodge set high above the clouds at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Guests stay in individual stone cottages with large private sitting rooms complete with a fireplace, overstuffed armchairs, and art commissioned from some of Uganda’s best artists.

The main lodge feels like someplace else – soaring ceilings, massive exposed wooden beams, big picture windows with endless views of treetops, volcanoes, and mountains. It feels like a ski chalet in the Alps. Or a stone palace in the Rocky Mountains. But with the gentle and warm welcome, the quiet dedication of the personal butlers, and the smiles on the faces of virtually all the staff, this can only be in Uganda.

Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge sits at a 7000-ft (2,161 meters) altitude on a magnificent ridge with stunning views across the rugged landscapes and beyond to the Virunga Volcanoes chain. Nineteen Rooms in eleven private cottages, two family villas, and four luxurious suites sit above the Bwindi Forest canopy with distinctive elegance and startling luxury amid forest trees, flowers, and shrubs. Locally styled furnishings grace the spacious rooms, and light fills the space from private viewing decks over the forest swath and beyond the entire Virunga Volcanoes chain. At the highest point on the property sits a grand lounge building housing the dining, drink, and coffee bar spaces with expansive 360-degree views of the gorgeous rugged landscape.

Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge

Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Mulehe, Mucha, Nyundo Sub-County, Kisoro District, in South Western Uganda, about 10 km from Kisoro town along the road to Rubuguli. This Lodge is exclusively an all-cottage accommodation facility, constructed with one ancient ingenious concept in mind, Vernacular Architecture, with a display of cutting-edge design and creativity. This is what allows you to walk down any cottage, as well as turn your eyes from your bed, couch, or bathroom to beautiful walls made of skillfully cut and carefully polished volcanic stones.
