Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Depending on your location on the first day of the two-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari from Kigali, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport in Kigali, brief you on the safari, and then take you on a short Kigali city tour, where you will be able to visit art/craft centres, the Kigali genocide memorial Centre, and the Kimironko market, among other places.

After the city tour, you will go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Katuna border in Kabale district or the Cyanika border in Kisoro. On the way, you will stop for lunch before continuing on to the park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for supper and sleep.

Day 2: Gorilla hiking in Bwindi and departure for Kigali.

After an early breakfast on the second day of your 2-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari from Kigali, you will carry your packed lunch and meet your driver guide to proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing.

Following the briefing, you will begin trekking through the jungle with an expert park guide, which will take between 30 minutes and 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are found, as they tend to travel from one location to another in quest of food.

During the trek, you will be able to see other primate species and birds, and once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to learn more about their behaviours and habits, watch them go about their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, playing, grooming young ones, and take photos and record videos to show people back home.

After one hour with the mountain gorillas, you will return to the starting site, where you will be handed a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, before meeting up with your driver guide and beginning your journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departing flight or at any other location as advised.
