Detailed itinerary for 8-day Masai Mara Safari and Uganda Gorilla Trekking.
Day One: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda.
When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, our guide will greet you warmly, brief you on the safari, and drive you to your hotel in Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or take a walk around Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up at 7 a.m. and taken on the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the gorillas. The drive takes approximately 7-8 hours. During the journey, you will stop at the Equator Crossing for photos and the opportunity to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and participate in a water experience. You will make another stop in Mbarara for lunch before continuing on to Bwindi Forest, arriving in the evening. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest.
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide, and head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. In groups of eight, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek through the forest in search of mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek takes about 2 to 6 hours, depending on how the gorillas move and where they spent the night before.
Once you’ve located the gorilla family, you’ll have one hour to watch them play, feed, groom, and take as many photos as you want. Make sure your torch is turned off, as it may agitate the gorillas. Later, trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide, and return to the lodge, where you will spend the evening reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest – Entebbe, Kenya.
After an early breakfast, you will be driven back to Entebbe, where you will board an evening flight to Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. Our guide will greet you upon arrival and transport you to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Nairobi to Masai Mara.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and taken on a scenic journey to Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes about 5 hours and includes stops along the way to take in the beautiful views of the rift valley, as well as curio shops to grab a cup of coffee/tea or simply marvel at the many beautiful African crafts available for purchase.
You will arrive in the Mara in time for lunch, which you will enjoy after checking in. You will then take a short rest before embarking on your first bush adventure in the beautiful plains. You will see a variety of animals and learn a little about the Mara. At sunset, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 and 7: Full Day in Masai Mara.
These two days are dedicated to exploring Masai Mara; wake up early for breakfast and head to Masai Mara for a full day of adventure, bringing your packed lunch boxes. You will explore the reserve’s game-rich areas and witness the Great Migration if you visit during the time when wildebeests are in Masai Mara.

After breakfast, depart from Masai Mara and return to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
