Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

To start you Masai Mara Safari, your driver-guide met you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or hotel in Nairobi after breakfast and embark on a journey to Masai Mara National Park, descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya’s famous game reserve. It is a journey of approximately 4-5 hours with a stop at the Great Rift Valley view point to enjoy the amazing views of the largest valley in the world, said to be visible from out space.

Arrive at your lodge in Masai Mara in time for lunch and short rest. Later go for an afternoon game drive to spot magnificent wildlife in reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, elephants and wildebeests among others. Return to your lodge in the evening, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive

Today you will do two game drives that is morning and afternoon game drives giving you an opportunity to explore the endless plains of Masai Mara National Reserve.

Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head out for a morning reserve at 6.15 am – 9 am. Morning hours are a perfect to see wildlife in Masai Mara National Reserve including predators such as lions, leopards, African wild dogs as well as grazers walking up. Return to your lodge for a full breakfast and short rest as you wait for your lodge.

In the afternoon you will return to the reserve for another immersive game viewing experience and exploring the park more. Expect to see more wildlife that you might have missed during the morning game drive. If you visit in the right time of the Great Migration, you will see large columns of wildebeests on their annual migration. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Nairobi

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out of your lodge by 8:30 am, and depart for return transfer back to Nairobi. As per the latest park rules, all visitors are expected to exit the reserve before 10 am or else another day’s park entrance fee will apply.

You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon at around 2.30 pm. Drop off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight home.
